Sponsorship remains a core financial mainstay of the Montana International Choral Festival since its inception in 1987 when our community embraced MICF’s unique brand of excellent choral music, exciting and meaningful cross-cultural exchange, and dedication to volunteerism. The original sponsors were primarily business associates and friends of the founding group of Missoula singers, many of whom were business leaders, who returned to Missoula from a European tour eager to bring home the joy they had experienced participating in the grand choral festivals of Europe.
That initial core of a few inspired Missoulians driving the energy of many has matured into a united inspired organization of volunteers leveraging the generosity of a business community working hand-in-hand to sustain and grow the first and most-renowned non-competitive choral music festival in the world. Here in Missoula.
