Applications are now being accepted for participation in Missoula, Montana's 10th International Choral Festival, July 13-16, 2016.
ICF is a non-competitive showcase Festival. The Selection Committee screens choirs based on musical ability. Participation in the Festival is by official invitation only. Selected choirs are expected to take part in the entire Festival program. Festival choirs waive all fees and rights to audio and video recordings made or authorized by the International Choral Festival during the course of the Festival, and agree to the release waiver on the application form.
Travel & Lodging: Once selected, all choirs must finance their travel to and from Missoula. International choirs will need to apply for visas well in advance, if required. Choirs from outside the United States and Canada will be housed with local families in private homes and provided all meals and local transportation during Festival week. All choirs from the United States and Canada (and International choirs who choose to stay in a hotel, or the University of Montana dormitories, rather than with a Festival host family) are responsible for financing and arranging their own accommodations, transportation, and most of their meals; however, everyone is included in all official Festival group meals and social functions.
Fees: There are no application or participation fees associated with the International Choral Festival, and no prizes are awarded during the Festival.
Deadline: We suggest that choirs submit their application as soon as possible, and no later than January 1, 2016. Applications will be reviewed in the order received, and invitations will not be extended to choirs after the maximum capacity for participation has been reached.
